I love supernatural, there is all the good ingredients to make a very good show : action, ethic, extremely good looking heroes, soul searching very realistic and intelligent, a mix of angst and humor (even hilarious, some scene make me laugh so hard!). The actors are never boring and the way they act is so natural. The casting is excellent. So far I haven't seen any negative point in this show. I hope it will be a 6th season. (excuse my English it's not my first language, but I improve it while I watch supernatural in original version!!).

I think the guy in the picture is the guy they used for one scene in the store(still dont know the reason behind that),when Dean enters ,calls Sammy & drops a bag & Sam sees him on the CCTV,coz in that scene the guy entering does not look like Jensen& also, I thought Jensen's stunt double's name is Todd,he has mentioned him several times in various conventions.

I actually liked Castiel a heck of a lot better now that he's not Dean's slavering little lapdog. I was all set to continue disliking the character (I'm one of the few who can't stand the angels, period, and Cas in particular) and then he does what I've been jonesing to see for three years now, and that's hand Dean the verbal smackdown he so richly deserves.

Everybody's laying the problems on Sam, blaming him for everything, but nobody dares to think that Dean's got a lot of responsibility in the road Sam took. Sam needed Dean's understanding, needed his help, and yet, Dean's taken every chance over the last couple seasons to call Sam a freak, ignored Sam's very broad hints that he needs help, used Sam as a punching bag for his own frustrations, and then acts all high-and-mighty shocked when Sam wanders down a dark road alone. Starting when John died, Dean pretty much closed Sam out, shouted at Sam for his troubles, and then accused him of doing "too little too late" and all in all, succeeded in making Sam be *alone.* Even when he wasn't alone, he was.

And let's not EVEN mention the whole addiction thing. Dean's never offered support, never offered trust, never offered belief, never offered understanding, just offered condemnation, anger, hostility, and mistrust. You don't do that to a twelve-stepper, yo. Especially when you're family. That's the fast road to pushing them back towards whatever they were addicted to in the first place.

I'm actually proud of Sam for standing up for himself to Dean and starting to call him on his bull. Sam's finally standing up and realizing he doesn't have to be Dean's punching bag, and I hope we see them get back to a more equal footing, or else this isn't gonna be the show I signed on for.

I thought that the scariest thing about this episode was Sam's face when, in anger, he shoved Dean backwards after Dean's snide comment on whether or not Sam had "learned his lesson" regarding the demon blood. I didn't realize Jared could look that angry! It was scary, but good for him!

Personally, I didn't care for how they left things at the picnic table. I would've thought they would've at least had a stiff, manly hug goodbye or something. And I agree - what kind of person leaves behind someone who's struggling with an addiction? I know it's all leading up to something wonderful, but this episode totally left me angry. Oh well. Still looking forward to Thursday as always!

P.S. Is it just me, or does it seem like the CW doesn't advertise Supernatural on their station much at all? When I watch America's Next Top Model or something, I NEVER see Supernatural advertised, but I sure see plenty of Vampire Diaries. What's up with that?

I'm not so sure they need to be separated. Well, I'm on the fence. It's just that if Sam is in trouble and being tempted, I don't think him being alone is very good for him right now. If Dean worries about him all the time now, how's he going to feel better when he has no idea what Sam's doing? I don't know that this makes sense in any way other than that these two need a break from each other.

I thought this episode was so much better than 5.01 on a lot of levels, not the least of which was the return of Ellen, Jo and Rufus. I agree that Samantha Ferris and Jensen Ackles have a chemistry together that is palpable. In my mind, Ellen is every bit as much a mother figure for the Winchester boys as Bobby is a father figure. I love Ellen very much and hope she's made a recurring character on a regular basis.

As much as I hate to see the brothers separated, I agree it is something necessary, for a while, so Sam can get his head on straight, and he can figure out how to not only get Dean to trust him again, but to trust himself as well. I think we fans are in for the ride of our lives this season!

He is his stunt double. And played "opposite" Dean as Dean. Of course we only see his back.
I loved your commentary and I agree with everything. And my two cents worth is the twitter thing is more harmful than positive. People who are not into the show are not going to turn to it because they get annoyed to death in twitter. I'm sorry that's just my opinion but it's what I think.

The probable reason for the top picture showing a t-shirt clad Dean is that it is a promo picture taken during rehearsals, where the actors sometimes wear fewer layers because it's cooler. The layers go back on for the final take.
