It’s another results night. 27 million votes this week, plus former Idol finalist Danny Gokey (pictured) performs to promote his new album. Who will be going home and who will be sticking around to battle it out for another week? To recap my predictions: Guys: John Park and Jermaine Sellers. Gals: Lacey Brown and Haeley Vaughn. We’ll see if I am close…after the jump!
This week’s horrific group performance is “I Got A Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas. It’s like a bad High School Musical…then again, I don’t think there was ever a good High School Musical. Not to mention that they lip sync the group performances and they do that badly too. Ugh!
First up, the guys.
Tim Urban — Safe, yet again. He is getting by on his looks because he should not be in this competition.
Todrick Hall — Ryan keeps him hanging and makes him wait.
Michael Lynche — Safe. Not a surprise.
Casey James — Also safe. Again, not a surprise.
John Park and Todrick Hall — Todrick is safe. JOHN PARK is out. I am 1 for 1 with the guys so far tonight. We’ll see if Jermaine gets cuts in the next group. I think he will.
Next group of guys.
Lee DeWyze — Of course, he is safe. No brainer.
Aaron Kelly — Also safe.
Alex Lambert — Again, safe. Not a surprise. People are rooting for him.
Jermaine Sellers and Andrew Garcia — Andrew is safe. JERMAINE SELLERS is out. I am 2 for 2 with the guys this week. This is really not a surprise. Jermaine was not likeable. He has too much attitude. Good riddance.
Danny Gokey performs his new song, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.” Catchy little song, even though I am not really a fan of his. This album for him is more country than pop. He says Randy Travis encouraged to record country and he admits it’s always been an influence for him.

Lilly Scott — Safe. No surprise.
Paige Miles — Also safe.
Katie Stevens — Again, safe.
DiDi Benami and Michelle Delamore — I think Michelle is leaving. Kara says in re-watching the show she thought Michelle’s performance was not that great and thinks she is in danger. Ryan finally reveals that DiDi is safe. MICHELLE DELAMORE is out. I am 0 for 1 so far with the ladies.
The next group…
Katelyn Epperly — She is safe.
Crystal Bowersox — Of course, she is safe.
Siobhan Magnus — Safe.
Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown — So both of my predictions are the final two. If I have to pick one, I say Haeley. Ryan reveals that Lacey is safe and HAELEY VAUGHN is out. I am 1 for 2 with the ladies and 3 for 4 tonight.
Next week the top 16 perform Billboard hits once again and 4 more people will go home. It’s heating up. Until next week…MENDHEIM OUT! By the way, not once this year has Seacrest said “Seacrest Out” which is why I started saying it. But I’m not stopping, so once again, MENDHEIM OUT!
