Today, Universal Studios announced a brand new theme park is coming to Orlando in 2022. The announcement was about as bland as an announcement like this could be and there were no details. For the life of me can’t think of any Universal Studios Properties that could even make up a park like this. With that said, Universal Orlando is one of my favorite theme parks in the world and I will always prefer it over Disney World. I’m hopeful this park will be big, expansive and exciting. The official press release is below.
You all know how much I love Universal Orlando. But sadly its a park that is in dire need of some new rides and a refresh. The first phase of my desire has mysteriously materialized in the brand new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure set to premiere this June! Mark your calendars because Draco Malfoy himself, Tom Felton will be on hand Tuesday, March 12th to unveil the long awaited adventure. The ride officially opens June 13, 2019.
What’s new in amusement park land? Opening August 2018, Universal’s Aventura Hotel will introduce something new and different to Orlando’s theme park food scene. Urban Pantry will be Aventura Hotel’s modern food hall, which will serve an eclectic collection of amazing eats and perfectly paired drinks available at Universal Orlando’s newest Prime Value hotel.
Floridians are about to experience a Sharknado! Syfy’s Sharknado 3 will shoot key scenes at Universal Orlando Resort.
This time out, the Sharknado will wreak mass destruction in Washington, D.C. before ‘roaring down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida.’
Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo star in Sharknado 3, which is set to premiere in July. For further details, follow the jump.
