Craig Ferguson has announced that he’s leaving as host of The Late Late Show. He made the announcement during taping of the show this afternoon.
As a unique voice in late night television, Ferguson has gone is directions no one expected – between his robotic co-host Geoff, and his willingness to showcase his love of Doctor Who, or interview scientists and mathematicians that few have had ever heard of (outside their areas of expertise) – and his steadfast avoidance of blatant plugs from celebrities doing the talk show circuit – Ferguson earned plaudits as a consummate interviewer and his unique sense of humor never let things get borng. His 10-year run on the show comes to an end in December. The CBS press release follows the jump.
