Along with the announcement that Legends of Tomorrow’s encounters with the Justice society of America came the news that Rex ‘Hourman’ Tyler would be joined by Obsidian, Stargirl and Dr. Mid-Nite (the roles are, as yet, uncast).
They will be facing off against a collection of villains from Greg Berlanti’s DCTV Universe: Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Dahrk, Captain cold and Reverse-Flash.

The CW is setting up season three of The Flash – Flashpoint – with a very cool tease: the first shot of Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) in costume as Kid Flash.
The Flash’s third season premiere is set for Tuesday, October 4th (8/7C). The network is hosting a panel on The Flash at Comic-Con 2016, Saturday July 23rd.

Netflix will be the home for streaming of shows from The CW – the result of a new multi-year licensing agreement that will see Netflix streaming complete previous seasons of all of The CW’s scripted series.
These would include Supergirl, Jane the Virgin, The Flash, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Arrow and three new series: Frequency, No Tomorrow and Riverdale.

The CW and Tribune Broadcasting have come to an agreement on a long-term affiliation agreement that will see The CW’s programming continuing to be broadcast on twelve Tribune-owned stations covering 25% of the U.S. and serving 28 million households.

The CW is leaving Tribune Broadcasting in Chicago and moving to FOX Television’s WPWR-TV beginning September 1st.
Frank Cicha, Senior Vice President of Programming of Fox Television Stations, stated, “We love high quality, big budget first-run prime and we love having more original programming. But most of all, we love moving to The CW the same time as Supergirl.”

The 2016-17 Primetime Schedule for The CW welcomes Supergirl to the network by giving it its familiar 8/7C timeslot on Mondays, where it will be followed by Jane the Virgin.
The Flash will again lead off Tuesdays, but with iZombie being held until mid-season, it will lead in to No Tomorrow (a pair of polar opposites deal with an impending apocalypse); Arrow holds down its usual spot on Wednesdays where it will lead in to new series, Frequency – in which a young police detective establishes a real relationship with her late father via his vintage ham radio set.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns to its regular Thursday timeslot leading in to Supernatural and the Winchesters’ final clash with God’s sister; Fridays open with The Vampire Diaries’ 7th season premiere leading into the second season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Riverdale (a re-imagining of Archie and friends), iZombie, The 100, Reign and The Originals are standing by to cover early cancellations and/or open the net’s mid-season. The full schedule and series descriptions follow the jump.

Every time that Greg Berlanti – an executive producer on Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl – has been asked about a crossover between one of his CW shows and Supergirl, he always said it didn’t seem likely, but he’d love to do it if circumstances were right.
Circumstances have become right – The Flash will journey from Central City to National City to team up with Supergirl.
