I’m not sure what the signs of the Apocalypse are but two of them are probably tonight’s Emmy Awards show finishing on time and the Academy actually giving Tatiana Maslany the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama.
Seriously. Who’d a thunk it? The members of the Academy must have actually watched some of the multitude of screeners with which they were deluged with this year.
I’m so stoked about this that I’m not terribly ticked off by many of the other choices (not that will keep me from commenting…) – all of which follow the jump.
With the Emmys® coming up on Sunday (CBS, 8/7C), the Academy has announced its final round of presenters, including multiple-Emmy® winners Margo Martindale, Bryan Cranston, Claire Danes and Allison Janney.
The first group of presenters for the 68th Primetime Emmys® has been released and two-thirds of the twelve presenters on the list have either won or been nominated for Emmys® or Golden Globes.
Of the the two thirds, James Corden is a triple-nominee (Outstanding Interactive Program, Outstanding Variety Music Or Comedy Special, Outstanding Variety Series Talk for “The Late Late Show with James Corden”); Larry David has won and is nominated again this year (Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for SNL, Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Julie Bowen is a two-time winner (Modern Family).
Follow the jump to see the complete list. The 68th Primetime Emmys® will air live on ABC, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, on Sunday, September 18th (7/6C).
