The network also picked up Love Is Dead – about a company that specializes in breaking up relationships for those who can pay to not be there when it happens – from Chuck’s Zev Borow.

The new comedies will debut in early 2014 and are expected to complement Modern Family, which the network will begin running on September 24th. For details, follow the jump.

It’s interesting that three of the four shows are genre entries, further solidifying The CW as a network that is will to take chances. As a fan of the original British The Tomorrow People, I have to say that it looks they’ve done a nice job adapting and updating it.

Enjoy.

CBS 2013-14 Schedule Introduces New shows, Shuffles & Juggles Returnees!

cbs-logo

When CBS kicks of its fall schedule, there will be a lot of familiar faces – the network is premiering just five new shows while returning twenty. What will not be as familiar, will be the placement of some your returning favorites.

The big news, however, is that CBS is introducing four new comedies: The Crazy Ones (with Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar), The Millers (Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Beau Bridges and JB Smoove), Mom (with Anna Faris and Allison Janney) and We Are Men (with Tony Shalhoub, Kal Penn, Chris Smith and Jerry O,Connell). On Mondays, We Are Men will following How I Met Your Mother, while Mom will follow 2 Broke Girls. The Millers will follow The Big Bang Theory on Thursdays and, in turn, will be followed by The Crazy Ones with Two and a Half Men closing out the two-hour comedy block.

Drama-wise, the biggest changes are Monday, where Hostages premieres following the two-hour comedy block and builds to a January finale when Intelligence (starring Josh Holloway) will take over the timeslot; Person of Interest shifts to Tuesdays where it will follow NCIS: LA; Friday’s insertion of Hawaii Five-0 between Undercover Boss and Blue Bloods, and The Mentalist shifts to the post-Good Wife slot on Sundays.

Mike & Molly will join new drama Reckless and Friends with Better Lives as mid-season premieres.

Follow the jump for the official press release which includes the complete schedule and descriptions of the new shows.
