NBC has announced its renewal of Jennifer Lopez’s complicated, corrupt cop show Shades of Blue.

The story of single mom and cop Harlee Santos (Lopez) who is forced to cooperate with an obnoxious (and obsessed) FBI agent named Stahl (Warren Kole) in an undercover operation to bring down her precinct, has delivered NBC’s first Thursday 10-11 p.m. ET time period wins with in-season regular programming over original competition on ABC and CBS since March 2010.

Big Changes At NBC For 2015-16!

BLINDSPOT -- Pictured: "Blindspot" vertical key art -- (Photo by: NBCUniversal)

This last week has been a bloodbath for the big four networks as they cleared out nearly thirty shows to make room for new ones that will, hopefully, perform better. NBC alone canceled About A Boy, Allegiance, A to Z, Bad Judge, Constantine, Marry Me, One Big Happy, and State of Affairs. In their place will be what the network is describing as a schedule of ‘compelling dramas, new comedies and returning favorites.’

New dramas include Blindspot (above, starring Jamie Alexander, Thor), Chicago Med (Chicago PD/Chicago Fire spinoff, Crime of Silence (legal thriller based on a Turkish format), Heartbreaker (medical soap), The Player (starring Wesley Snipes), Shades of Bluee (effective but corrupt cops).

New comedies include Coach (limited series reboot of the Craig T. Nelson series), Crowded (Empty nesters’ grown kids move back home), Hot and Bothered (telenovela), People Are Talking (two neighbor couple who have no filters – if they think it, they say it), and Superstore (the lives of the staff of a big box store).

Follow the jump for series descriptions and schedule.
