Two summers ago, another network aired one season of a comedy about a guy who discovered a meteor was headed straight for Earth and would destroy it in six months – You, Me and the Apocalypse.
Last fall, another network aired a dramedy about a guy who discovers the Earth has six months until a meteor destroys it and decides to do all the things he always dreamed of doing, a journey that only grows more important when he falls in love – No Tomorrow.
Now that we’ve had a comedy and a dramedy on the subject of Earth-killing meteors, it’s only logical to assume someone would try the concept as a drama.

Candy Crush – a live-action game show based on the ubiquitous mobile game – will premiere on Sunday, July 9th.
New drama series Salvation – two tech whizzes inform the Pentagon that Earth will be destroyed by asteroid in six months – premieres On Wednesday, July 12th.

He will play charming but egocentric tech billionaire Darius who is about to face his biggest challenge – helping save the world from an approaching asteroid.
Salvation is slated to air over Summer 2017.

CBS has ordered event series Salvation for summer 2017.
The 13-episode series centers on an MIT graduate and a tech superstar who bring a low-level Pentagon employee a discovery that the world will end in six months.
Salvation comes from Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout and CBS Television Studios and will join the third season Zoo and the next edition of Big Brother on the network’s 2017 summer schedule.
