The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in Angel Grove…with the White Ranger as their leader! But what happened to the team after they defeated Lord Drakkon?
Mighty Morphin Powers #40 – Necessary Evil – marks the debut of new creative team Ryan Parrott (writer) and Daniele Di Nicuolo (artist) and the start of an arc that answers questions raised by the Shattered Grid crossover. Details follow.
‘Fighting evil is hard, but surviving high school may be even harder!’
That’s the tagline for a new Power Rangers title – Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers – from Saban Brands and BOOM! Studios.
Written by Ryan Parrott (Star Trek: Starfleet Academy) and illustrated by Dan Mora (WWE, Klaus), Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers is set after the first episode of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” and centers around Jason, Kimberly, Zack, Trini, and Billy as they navigate high school, just days after receiving their superhero abilities. The story delves into their lives of saving the world while juggling history tests, dating and after-school jobs.
Saban’s Go Go Powers #1 will be in comics shops in July. An alternate cover gallery (double click to embiggen) follows.
Saban’s Power Rangers opens in theaters on March 24, 2017. Five days later, BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands will release Aftershock, a graphic novel that follows the events of the film.
Saban’s Power Rangers: Aftershock will feature two covers – a movie cover (above) and a cover by Greg Smallwood (Moon Knight). Both can be pre-ordered but the version with the Smallwood cover will only be available through comics shops.
