On its sixth day on the road to San Diego Comic-Con 2017, BOOM! Studios announces Kong: Gods of Skull Island – a standalone story.
‘…I wanted to see more of that tribe’s culture in the films… after all, theysurvived for generations at the bottom of the food chain in the harshest, deadliest environment on Earth, and they worshipped Kong as a living god.’
Kon: Gos of Skul Island is a one-shot that is written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and illustrated by Chad Lewis. It will in comics shops in October.
Imagine a world where American were no longer able to have children. Adoption agencies would search the world for orphaned kids for Americans to adopt – and some would go to extra-legal efforts to make it possible (money talks…).
BOOM! Studios’ Last Sons of America – from new writer Philip Kennedy Johnson and artist Matthew Dow Smith (X-Files) takes place in that world. It centers of twin brothers and adoption agents Jackie and Julian, based in Nicaragua, who do their job legally but are being pushed hard by ‘straight up kidnappers.’
Last Sons of America will be in comics shops on November 11th. Final order date cutoff is October 19th. Follow the jump for details.
