Supergirl Launches The CW’s 2016-17 Primetime Schedule; Riverdale, iZombie Held for Mid-Season!

The 2016-17 Primetime Schedule for The CW welcomes Supergirl to the network by giving it its familiar 8/7C timeslot on Mondays, where it will be followed by Jane the Virgin.

The Flash will again lead off Tuesdays, but with iZombie being held until mid-season, it will lead in to No Tomorrow (a pair of polar opposites deal with an impending apocalypse); Arrow holds down its usual spot on Wednesdays where it will lead in to new series, Frequency – in which a young police detective establishes a real relationship with her late father via his vintage ham radio set.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns to its regular Thursday timeslot leading in to Supernatural and the Winchesters’ final clash with God’s sister; Fridays open with The Vampire Diaries’ 7th season premiere leading into the second season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Riverdale (a re-imagining of Archie and friends),  iZombie, The 100, Reign and The Originals are standing by to cover early cancellations and/or open the net’s mid-season. The full schedule and series descriptions follow the jump.
