On December 25th, BBC America will premiere The Doctor Who Christmas Special: Last Christmas (9/7C). If you didn’t already have reason enough to watch after Peter Capaldi totally own the role of the angry-eyebrowed Doctor through season eight, BBC America has twelve reasons – matching the twelve days of Christmas (was that too on the nose?) – that make perfect sense to me.

Doctor Who: Nick Frost Joins The Doctor For Christmas!


Whovians are getting quite the Christmas prezzy this year – Nick Frost has signed on to guest-star in the annual Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Natalie Gumede, Faye Marsay, Nathan McMullen and Michael Troughton (son of the second Doctor, Patrick Troughton) will also guest star, but Nick Frost, best known for his roles in Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy is best known in America.

Details follow the jump. Unlike a lot of seasonal specials, BBC America’s Doctor Who Christmas Special will actually air on Christmas Day.
