The Last 5 Years is a musical about the life and death of a relationship between Cathy Hiatt (Anna Kendrick) and Jamie Wellerstein – she, a struggling actor; he, an aspiring novelist. She looks at the highs and lows of the last five years; he tells the story straightforwardly from beginning to end.
Based on the Tony Award-winning musical by Jason Robert Brown, The Last 5 Years is adapted for film by Richard LaGravanese – and will be in theaters February 13, 2015. Check out the new trailer following the jump.
Everyone, it seems, wants their fifteen minutes of fame via reality show. Apparently including vampires.
What We Do In The Shadows finds a documentary crew following four vampiric flatmates in New Zealand – ranging in age from two months undead to, well, nosferatu ancient.
Written and directed by Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Concords) and Taika Waititi (Eagle vs. Shark), What We Do In The Shadows Will be in theaters February 13, 2015. Check out the trailer following the jump.
It’s here! The first trailer for Terminator: Genisys looks like the movie is playing fast and loose with the rules (how can Sarah Connor know about timelines that no longer exist?), but it has the propulsive feel of James Cameron’s Terminator films – especially in the humor.
Emilia Clarke makes a very interesting Sarah Connor and, let’s face it, playing a terminator is what Arnold Schwarzenegger was meant to do. Even Jai Courtney comes out of it looking pretty good.

Universal’s Unbroken, the film of Louis Zamperini’s story – from just another kid to Olympic athlete; to survivor of a WWII plane crash in the ocean to a survivor of captivity and a Japanese Prisoner of War camp – has taken a long time to get to us.
Directed by Angelina Jolie, Unbroken is a true story of survival in the face of overwhelming odds. Follow the jump to watch a behind the scenes featurette in which Jolie and Zamperini talk about his amazing story.
The month of February has gotten a bad rap. For almost forever, it has been the month where studios sent the movies they’d lost faith in to die. But a curious thing began to happen back when Daredevil was released in February – it became a modest hit.
So studios began treating February with a little respect and now, you get The LEGO Movie being a huge hit from a February release – and 50 Shades of Grey getting a Valentine’s release.
So, why not a all-out spy thriller? Like, say, Matthew Vaughn’s (X-Men First Class, Kick-Ass) epic looking Kingsmen: The Secret Service – starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson? The new trailer certainly looks entertaining. Check it out after the jump. Kingsmen: The Secret Service opens on February 13, 2015. Enjoy!
We all know the story of Peter Pan – whether it be through J.M. Barrie’s novel or Disney – or at least we think we do. In fact, we know the story of the Darling children’s encounter with Peter Pan. Peter’s origin is something else again – and that’s what addressed in Pan: the story of the orphan boy with a destiny to never grow up.
Starring newcomer Levi Miller as Peter, Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily and Garrett Hedlund as Hook, Pan will be in theaters, in 3D, on July 17, 2015. Check out the first trailer after the jump.
Jurassic World is open and looks like a pretty cool place to visit until a rather smug scientist states ‘We’ve just created our first genetically modified hybrid.’ When Chris Pratt’s character responds, ‘You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea,’ we just know he’s right. Check out the first full trailer for Jurassic World after the jump. The Park is open June 12, 2015.
Touchstone’s Strange Magic tells a fantasy tale through the use of hit songs from the past six decades. The character and set design remind of legendary artist Bran Froud and the result is, to say the least, unique.
Stange Magic opens on January 23, 2015. Check out the trailer after the jump.
