This is one of the greatest fan trailers ever. I found it at the Ifanboy.com website, someone put a lot of thought and effort into this, Warner Brothers should hire whoever did this to be involved in their rumored Green Lantern movie. You would think Green Lantern would be one of the easiest characters to bring to the big screen. But whoever created this trailer, bravo!
Before I start this, let me just say Movie Studios attitudes towards the Internet is just dumb. I’m getting all of these clips from YouTube but the morons ban embedding the clips, even though right below the official trailer there’s always 20 other copies of it. How dumb is that? Here are 5 hot movie trailers for this week.
Public Enemies Trailer 2.
You have Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in a Michael Mann gangster movie, how can it go wrong?
My Sister’s Keeper
Man this is a great trailer that almost makes me cry every time I see it. And I’m a heartless you know what. Normally I scoff at movies like this but wow, what nice trailer.
Jerry Bruckheimer – one of my favorite Hollywood Producers recently unveiled some new footage from the upcoming Prince of Persia movie staring Jake Gyllenhaal. I’m a fan of the games, but Video Game movies have a bad history and this one stars Jake G. So who knows if it’ll be any good.
Terminator Salvation – New 4 Minute Clip
Release Date – May 21, 2009
The highly anticipated new installment of “The Terminator” film franchise is set in post-apocalyptic 2018. John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. There’s a new 4 minute clip at Apple Movie Trailers. I stand by my original comments from a few weeks ago, I’ve seen nothing from this movie that makes me excited to see it. Will I like it once I do? Most likely, yes. But as of now, this looks like yet another lazy, “visionless” effort from hack director McG. The movie has Christian Bale, but from what little I’ve seen, it seems like he’s overacting a bit and the Batman voice isn’t working for me. Here’s another 2 minute clip.
Fame 2009 – Teaser Trailer
Release Date – September
A few weeks ago I was thinking about “If there were any movies that had a material impact on my life?” For the life of me I couldn’t think of a single one. I don’t take this stuff that seriously. But when I saw the Fame trailer, it dawned on me that the film that really had an “impact” on me was the Fame television show – not so much the movie. I was in Choir, Band and Played Piano from Elementary School all the way to my first year of College. Fame made being a musician and in a band cool not an activity for “nerds and outcasts.” My high school was unique in that we really didn’t truly defined cliques. Everyone sort of cross pollinated with the Band being a common ground. So we had folks from Cheerleading, the Sports Teams, Year Book, etc. All taking part and I think the popularity of Fame had a lot to do with that. I even applied to Berkley College of Music because of Fame. With that said, I had no opinion regarding the idea of remaking Fame. Actually, it seems like a pretty simple concept to update and make it “relevant” for today’s kids. Especially when State governments are cutting school music programs – it could be even more important and used to highlight how important it is to keep them.
The first trailer for the Fame 2009 movie hit the nets a few weeks ago and it’s the anti-trailer. It looks horrible and boring. Where’s the excitement, the sense of urgency, the “I gotta make it” feeling from the original movie? Where’s Debbie Allen when we need her? It’s all missing from this trailer. For a movie I didn’t care about prior to seeing the trailer, I now find myself a little upset at how crummy it is. I do LOVE the opening moments of Out Here on my Own (a song I used to know how to play on the Piano), but then it switches to this GOD AWFUL Ska (?) version of the iconic Fame theme song. Just HORRID. Here’s the trailer.
The full G.I. Joe trailer is here. I’m not sure what I think yet, I need to watch it on my Apple TV when I get home. My gut reaction is I don’t like the weird Animation/Live Action mix. Doesn’t seem to quite work.
Here’s something pretty cool. We have 5 sets of Toy Figurines for the Battle for Terra to give away. I’m personally looking forward to this movie, it has a unique plot where Humans are actually the invaders of another world. The film tells the story of Senn (Justin Long) and Mala (Evan Rachel Wood), two rebellious alien teens living on the beautiful planet Terra, a place that promotes peace and tolerance, having long ago rejected war and weapons mass destruction. But when Terra is invaded by human beings fleeing a civil war and environmental catastrophe, the planet is plunged into chaos. During the upheaval, Mala befriends an injured human pilot (Luke Wilson) and each learns the two races are not so different from one another. Together they must face the terrifying realization that in a world of limited resources, only one of their races is likely to survive. The movie opens this weekend, Friday May 1.

Here’s something interesting, a trailer for a new horror film from the folks who produced the Resident Evil Franchise.
Here’s a little Synopsis
From the creators of the Resident Evil film franchise comes Pandorum, a terrifying thriller in which two crew members wake up on an abandoned spacecraft with no idea who they are, how long they’ve been asleep, or what their mission is. The two soon discover they’re actually not alone — and the reality of their situation is more horrifying than they could have imagined. Starring: Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Antje Traue, Cung Le and Cam Gigandet. Pandorum is Christian Alvart’s latest directorial effort and is written by Travis Milloy.
In theaters September 4th.
Check out this interesting video, it’s an interview with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro from NBC’s today show this morning.
I love Oliver Stone, he’s gone off the deep end in the last few years, but I’m really curious about his George Bush bio, W. Here’s a new clip from the movie.
When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton (Guy Pearce) heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn (Don Cheadle). Obsessed with discovering the truth, Clayton tracks Horn across the globe as the elusive ex-soldier burrows deeper and deeper into a world of shadows and intrigue. Traitor, a taut international thriller set against a jigsaw puzzle of covert counter-espionage operations hits theaters this Summer, August 27, 2008. For more information visit: http://www.traitor-themovie.com/ I think Cheadle is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood, if I wasn’t going to London this weekend, this would be the movie I see.
I’m an ex-Pot head. I used to be obsessed with all things potter. Would spend hours on the message boards reading speculation on what would happen next, but after reading Deathly Hallows, I’ve done a complete 180. The last three Potter books were utterly disappointing. It never got as dark as each book would lead you to believe. There are no big battle sequences, Harry never got properly trained – the supposed Savior of the Wizarding world never gets trained! Ron was never a consistent character and his actions in DH was beyond ridiculous. JKR took the series into non-obvious directions just to screw with the readers. The movies have followed the trend of the books as well and have gotten progressively worse. Order of The Phoenix is a crappy movie, I hated the Half-Blood Prince book, so I had little interest in this year’s installment. And Warner’s news blackout didn’t help matters. With all that said, this trailer almost restores the faith. It’s really strong and that kid is creepy has hell.
