Emily Dickenson’s reputation as a recluse is totally unfounded. Wild Nights with Emily seeks to rectify that situation – it’s a ‘dramatic comedy’ that puts the idea that she was a ‘virginal retiring spinster’ to rest.
Me and Earl and the Dying girl won both the Judges and audience Prizes at Sundance this year. The tale of Greg – who simply seeks to get through high school senior year anonymously but is pressured by his mom to speak to a girl he hasn’t spoken to since kindergarten – looks to be charming, offbeat, funny and maybe a wee bit poignant.
