It is almost folly to remake another director’s masterpiece. Even the result is a great film, it will always be second to the original.
Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) has remade Dario Argento’s brilliant Suspiria – and the new trailer suggests that he just might have pulled it off. (It’s certainly got the right creepy kind of vibe.)
Suspiria will open in New York and Los Angeles on October 26th before rolling out across the country.
A time of starvation. The Survivalist lives off a small plot of land hidden deep in forest protecting his crop from intruders with his shotgun and improvised traps. But the long years alone have taken their toll on him and he is beginning to lose his grip on reality.
One reviewer has described The Survivalist as ‘Mad Max in the countryside.’ The trailer definitely lives up that description.
The Survivalist will be in theaters and on VOD on May 19th.
