In Black Mask’s new title, Billionaire Killers, it’s a world where the President stops even bothering to hide the fact that America is ruled by corporations; a world where the next generation declares: enough. The series follows two young women, Sera and Pru, heiresses to their industrialist fathers’ empires, who come to learn the patriarchs of their families earned their fortunes by causing global suffering, and then decide to go to war against their own parents.
Billionaire Killers #1 will be in comics shops on March 1st.
Black Mask will release the 3rd printing of Calexit #1 on February 14th.
Imagine, if you will, that a fascistic, autocratic President has taken over the U.S. – and that, following massive protests, especially in California (which voted 2-1 against the President), that that state decided to wrest control back from the country’s new leader.
That’s the premise behind CALEXIT, a new comic by writer Matteo Pizzolo and artist Amancay Nahuelpan.
The story follows Jamil, a 25-year old courier (aka smuggler), and Zora, a 27-year old leader in the Pacific Coast Sister Cities Resistance, who escape together from a prison camp in Occupied Los Angeles.
CALEXIT comes from Black Mask Studios and the first issue will be in stores in May.
