Birds of Prey – Less Whimsy Than Expected but Still a Lot of Fun!

Given the way that Margo Robbie’s nastily whimsical Harley Quinn was the lone standout in 2016’s Suicide Squad, it’s a bit of a disappointment to see her in a more conventional film – but only a little bit; Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is still one of the better DC movies of the last decade.

Warner Bros. Unveils Birds of Prey Poster!

Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first poster for Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

It’s a blast of color as other characters from the film flutter around Harley’s Head (much stars or birds circling the head a cartoon character that’s just taken one to the head).

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) opens on February 7, 2020.

If every reader who ever loved Winnie the Pooh saw Goodbye Christopher in a theater, it would do an easy half billion.

The new trailer for the film shows the mostly lovely relationship between Alan (A.A.) Milne and his son, Christopher Robin and hints at the bits that coalesced into the classic Winnie the Pooh books.

It’s almost as delightful as the books. Goodbye Christopher Robin opens on  October 13th.

Suicide Squad Tops Batman v Superman!

SUICIDE SQUAD

After the disappointment of Batman v. Superman – it was merely okay – Suicide Squad is a definite step in the right direction.

Despite having too many characters to give any but a handful more than the sketchiest of backgrounds, it’s smarter and more fun than BvS (though not the mad romp the last few trailers suggested it would be).
