Fire Punch and RWBY (pronounced Ruby) are two new manga series that lead VIZ Media’s digital manga releases for January.
In Fire Punch, orphaned siblings Agni and Luna, like the Ice Witch who cursed their world, are two of the “blessed,” humans who hold special abilities. However, not all who are blessed are friendly, and after another of their kind attacks Agni and decimates the orphans’ village, Agni fights to survive, vowing revenge.
RWBY is based on the hit anime series of the same name.
An arm peppered with tiny holes dangles from a sick girl’s window… After an idol hangs herself, balloons bearing the faces of their destined victims appear in the sky… An amateur film crew hires an extremely individualistic fashion model and faces a real bloody ending…
Horror fans should mark December 19th on their calendar.
VIZ Media is releasing the hardcover edition on Shiver: Junji Ito Selected Stories under its VIZ Signature imprint on that date.

Ninety-nine percent of coming of age stories are about boys.
VIZ Media’s Sweet Blue Flowers, by Takao Shimura, upends that trope – dealing with the coming of age story of two high school girls who meet again at the beginning of high school after having been best friends in kindergarten.
Sweet Blue Flowers will be published in print and digital editions under the VIZ Signature imprint – and rated T+ for Older Teens. It will be in stores on September 19th.
VIZ Media is releasing an omnibus-style collection of the classic manga Death Note.

The Death Note All-In-One Edition is in stores now.
