While CBS has made the fewest adjustments to its primetime schedule, two of which are unusual for the network: its first superhero/comics adaptation, Supergirl (above), and given it the 8pm Monday slot beginning in November; there’s a more youthful look to its new procedural, the TV adaptation of Limitless.
The long-running CSI comes to a close with a two-hour movie event that reunites original cast members William F. Petersen and Mag Helgenberger – and sets the stage for Ted Danson’s move to CSI: Cyber.
CBS only added two comedies for fall: Angel From Hell – starring Jane Lynch as Amy, an obnoxious woman who claims to be Allison’s (Maggie Lawson) guardian angel; Life In Pieces – a look at one family’s awkward moments (which might turn out to be their most beautiful milestones).
Waiting in the wings are dramas Rush Hour and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. One of the biggest scheduling shifts finds the thirteen-episode fifth season of Person of Interest moving to mid-season.
