Chris Nolan Trailer: Interstellar!

Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, like Inception, has been behind a veil of secrecy that is not lifted by the release of the trailer. Instead, we get a mood piece with narration by Matthew McConaughey pondering on when the moments when humanity is at its finest. It’s intriguing, beguiling and does what a teaser should do – it teases.

Interstellar will be in theaters in November 2014.

Seventh Son Trailer–Jeff Bridges Goes Sword & Sorcery!

The news that Legendary Pictures has signed a deal with NBCUniversal makes Seventh son the last film for which they’ll partner with Warner Brothers. The fantasy movie stars Ben Barnes as Tom Ward, a seventh son of a seventh son and therefore destined to save humanity from evil. Jeff Bridges is Tom’s mentor, Master Gregory, and Julianne Moore is  that evil I referred to earlier, Mother Malik – a witch who can, apparently, change into a dragon.

Follow the jump to check out Seventh son’s first trailer. Seventh Son comes to theaters on January 17, 2014.

Pacific Rim: Final Trailer & Cool Kaiju Featurette!

To me it’s just crazy that Guillermo Del Toro’s labor of love monster movie, Pacific Rim, isn’t tearing up the internet – especially since each new trailer and featurette has delved more deeply into the world of kaijus and mechas that he has created in such detail.

Pacific Rim’s final trailer and a great new featurette about the movies Kaiju creations are now available – check out the trailer above and the featurette after the jump.

If You Don’t Stand For Something – New Sucker Punch Trailer!

The first Sucker Punch trailer was a dazzling array of images. The new one suggests that director Zack Snyder has something of a plot going on – something about imagination setting you free – but  there’s still more dazzling images and an amazing cast of gorgeous women:Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Carla Gugino. Plus, Scott Glenn as a mystic/mentor type.

See for yourself…

Chistopher Nolan searching for a Superman director

After months of not hearing any news on the next Superman movie, finally something has surfaced. We already know that David Goyer is writing the script, Chris Nolan is over seeing the project, and the film will be called “Man Of Steel”. It was announced five days ago by deadline.com that Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas “have begun meeting with a short list of directors for the job of directing Superman, the picture which will be financed by Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures. On the list: Unstoppable‘s Tony Scott, Let Me In director Matt Reeves, Battle: Los Angeles helmer Jonathan Liebesman (who just got the Warner Bros/Legendary job of directing Clash of the Titans 2), Duncan Jones, who just directed Source Code, and Sucker Punch helmer Zack Snyder.”

Deadline.com also states that “Several of these directors have movie commitments like Liebesman, which make then unlikely.  Nolan has already started meeting with candidates and will submit his choice to the studio within the next few weeks. Warner Bros and Legendary have to get the picture made by 2012, because the studio stands to lose certain rights to the iconic character in 2013 after a judge ruled favorably on behalf of the heirs of Superman creator Jerry Siegel”

I’m personally anxious to hear more news on this movie and hopefully production will begin in mid 2011 but only time will tell. I’m sure some of you are wondering if Brandon Routh will be making a return. I personally doubt it and believe that Christopher Nolan has different plans. Who ever will wear the famous blue tights, I’m sure they’ll do a good job as the next man of steel!
