ABC Family’s new workplace comedy, Kevin From Work, will be showcased on Facebook starting today.
The series – in which Kevin, believing he has a new job overseas, tells the woman he’s had a crush on how he feels – only to discover that the new job has evaporated, leaving him stuck in the same job and still working with her – will premiere on ABC Family on Wednesday, August 12th (8/7C).
ABC Family’s new summer shows – the procedural drama “Stitchers,” the unscripted reality drama “Becoming Us,” the comedy “Kevin From Work” and the reality series “Job or No Job,” “Monica the Medium,” “Startup U” and “Next Step Realty: NYC – will be made available for sampling across social, digital and physical platforms.

ABC Family has quite the summer lined up: genre, comedies, unscripted.
The networks new scripted shows include: Monica the Medium – a Penn State junior with all the usual life complications plus she talks with the dead; Stitchers – a young woman with a cool new job: solving crimes by being stitched into the memories of the deceased; Kevin From Work (pictured above) – Kevin tells a woman at work he loves her because he’s moving away to a new job; said new job falls through and now he’s stuck in his old one.
Unscripted shows include: Job Or No Job – each week follows a young adult as they work toward finding their first job; Startup U – follow a group of millennial entrepreneurs as they attend a semester at Draper U learning how to achieve their dreams; Next Step Realty: NYC – the employees of Next Step Realty help recent college grads find their first New York apartments.
Then, of course, there are returning shows: Pretty Little Liars, Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, The Fosters, Becoming Us, Chasing Life, Switched at Birth and Young & Hungry.
ABC Family has greenlit workplace comedy Kevin From Work. The half-hour comedy series is a tale of awkward romance in the workplace – only from the guy’s point of view.
Kevin declares his love for Audrey – who does not reciprocate in kind – believing that he’ll never see her again because he’s gotten a job overseas. Sadly, that job falls through and he has to go back to his old job – where he’ll see Audrey every day.
Kevin From Work goes into production in June and will premiere later this summer. For more, follow the jump.
ABC Family has greenlighted a pair of half-hour comedy pilots – Kevin From Work and Tough Cookie.
Kevin from Work centers on Kevin, a guy who professes his love for a co-worker after getting a job that will take him overseas. When the job falls through, he is stuck working with her. Kevin from Work was created by Barbie Adler (How I Met Your Mother). The pilot will be directed by McG.
Tough Cookie is a mother/daughter tale of a mother who isn’t ready to be a parent and a daughter who doesn’t want parenting. For more, follow the jump. Tough Cookie was created by Lauren Iungerich (Awkward), who will also direct the pilot.
