The trailer for the movie adaptation of Steve Alten’s best-selling novel, The Meg, has been released and it looks pretty scary (the Meg is a megalodon – a prehistoric shark that could swallow a good-sized human being whole).

The Meg has a terrific cast – Jason Statham, Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson, Robert Taylor, Masi Oka and bingbing Li among them.

The Meg opens on August 10th.
