The beloved children’s book about a bull, who is a lover not a fighter, comes to life in Blue Sky’s Ferdinand.

Taken  to fight in the arena, Ferdinand (voiced by John Cena) must find a way to return to return home.

20th Century Fox has released the film’s first trailer and a gallery matching cast members to their characters (double click to embiggen).

Directed by Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Rio),  Ferdinand will be in theaters on Deceber 15th.

Messy Human Experience Trailer: Trainwreck!

Amy Schumer is making the jump from stand up comic and star of her own sketch comedy show to movie star – and in Judd Apatow’s fifth movie as a director, no less.

Trainwreck is about a woman whose take on relationships is based on her father’s words, ‘Monogamy isn’t realistic.’ (To be fair, he’d just gone through a painful divorce at the time.) Twenty-three years, Amy has a great job at a men’s magazine and a bunch of great friends. Then she’s assigned to interview a certain sports doctor…

Check out the first trailer after the jump. Trainwreck will be in theaters on July 17th.

TELEVISION REVIEW: Psych – John Cena is Juliet’s Brother? Who Saw That Coming?

Serious Business Poster

Tonight, Psych makes its Wednesday debut [USA, 10/9C] – a new night coupled with the loss of the lead-in that used to be provided by the now departed Monk. That means it’s time to break out the big guns – and not just the ones masquerading as John Cena’s biceps!

HOLLYWOOD INSIDER: John Cena & James Roday Get Psyched!

Psych [USA, Wednesdays, 10/9C] returns for its winter premiere tonight – a new night – and minus the lead-in of perennial favorite, Monk, which ended its eight-year run in December. I took part in a teleconference Q&A session with series star James Roday and John Cena, who guest stars in the premiere. Unfortunately, their schedules where such that there was no overlap, so Mr. Cena was onboard for the first twenty minutes, then had to get on an airplane and Mr. Roday joined, us for the last half-hour, from the studio. It was an unusual situation that allowed for some interesting questions.

Also on the call were: Joshua Maloney [Niagara Frontier Publications], David Martindale [Hearst Newspapers], Rosa Cordero [AccidentalSexiness.com], Sammy Torino [TV Grapevine], Troy Rogers [thedeadbolt.com], Kristyn Clark [Pop Culture Madness], Laura Tucker [Small Screen Monthly], Earl Dittman [Wireless Magazine], Lisa Sternberg [Starry Constellation], Whitney Sedgwick [TwoSuns.com], Lena Lamoray [LenaLamoray.com], Travis Tidmore [The CineManiac], Monica Garsky [Flash News], Icess Fernandez, and Martin Sternberg [SmallScreenScoop.com].
