The Overlook Film Fest is a new genre fest that will provide a unique experience in a unique setting – the iconic Timberline Lodge (seen in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining) in Mt. Hood, Oregon..
Running from April 27-30, 2017, The Overlook Film Festival is planning on showcasing ‘experiential events, exciting work in new and classic horror cinema, and interactive activities where attendees can be fully immersed in the diverse world of the genre space’ – and a mix of films including ‘festival favorites, fresh discoveries and bonafide classics’ to go with the fest’s live events.
The festival is the brainchild of festival veterans Michael Lerman (Artistic Director for both the Palm Springs Intl. Film Festival and Philadelphia Film Festival) and Landon Zakheim (a short film programmer for the Sundance Film Festival, senior programmer for the Philadelphia Film Festival and head shorts programmer for the LA Film Festival).
The Overlook Film Festival advisory board includes such lumineries as Joe Dante, Mick Garris, Stuart Gordon and Elijah Wood.
