NBC’s Red Nose Day Raises $35 Million for Children In Need!

NBC’s 3rd Annual Red Nose Day Special was a rousing success – raising #5 million for children in need.

The special also featured appearances by TV and movie stars like Liam Neeson, Ben Affleck, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Laura Linney, Julia Roberts and Bryan Cranston – and the long awaited sequel to Love, Actually, Red Nose Day, Actually.

Beneficiaries of Red Nose Day include the Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children’s Health Fund; Covenant House; Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; Laureus Sport for Good; National Council of La Raza; Oxfam America; Rotary/End Polio Now; Save the Children; and The Global Fund.

Disney/ABC Launches Share The Joy Campaign To Inspire Volunteerism!

DisneyIABC Television Group is launching a series of PSAs – a Share The Joy campaign – in hopes that it will inspire service and volunteerism.

The campaign, in collaboration with Feeding America, generationOn and Toys for Tots,  has the goal of inspiring ‘kids and families to volunteer and spread goodwill this holiday season to those who need it most.’

The Share the Joy PSAs will air on multiple platforms beginning with Share the Joy-themed programming on ABC’s “The Chew,” which will kick off the campaign on today’s show, “General Hospital,” Freeform’s “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?” and multiple Disney Channel series including “Girl Meets World,” “Bizaardvark,” “Liv and Maddie: Cali Style” and “BUNK’D.”
