On the first 2019 edition of EMExclusives, Annapolis native Misha Jones is one of a dozen kids to take part in the Sixth season of Kids Baking Championship this Monday, January 7th on The Food Network. Up for grabs is a feature in the Food Network Magazine, a grand prize of $25,000 and a year’s worth of bragging rights. For Misha, its an unique experience he’ll never forget!
So here’s a fresh twist on cooking shows – maybe even one that might actually be fun to watch: Food Fighters! The concept is simple enough – amateur cooks face-off against famous chefs. Amateurs dish up their best dishes against world class chefs and then objective judges select the winner. You’d think it might be a bit of a slaughter, right?
Apparently not. Each Food Fight will have the amateur cook and the professional chef producing the amateur cook’s best/signature dish. Then comes the blind sample taste test. That ought to even the scales a bit. And that’s not even the end of it!
NBC will air the eight-episode first season – hosted by Adam Richman (Man vs. Food, Fandemonium) and featuring top chefs Cat Cora, Lorena Garcia (pictured), G. Garvin, Duff Goldman, Elizabeth Faulkner and Jet Tila – beginning Tuesday, July 22 (8/7C). For more details, follow the jump.
