Set in the majestic Canadian Rockies, Tin Star tells the story of Jim Worth (Roth), a former British detective now small town police chief, who brings his family to the tiny, tranquil town of Little Big Bear for a better life.
When a vast new oil refinery, fronted by corporate liaison Elizabeth Bradshaw (Hendricks), opens nearby and their new home is flooded with workers looking for drugs, gambling and prostitution, Jim has to work hard to protect his family and the town from organized crime.
Tin Star is an Amazon Original Series and will premiere on Friday, September 29th.
I have no idea if this is going to be an early candidate for the 2017 Razzies or the next 3 O’Clock High. All I know is that a high school teacher played by Ice Cube has (angrily) informed another teacher, played by Charlie Day, that they are going to have a fight in the parking lot after school – on the last day of school.
Fist Fight also stars Christina Hendricks, Tracy Morgan, Dean Norris, Jillian Bell, Dennis Haysbert and JoAnna Garcia Swisher. It will be in theaters on February 17th, 2017. The trailer follows the break.
Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later. There’s a sequel to one of the crudest, funniest Christmas movies of all time: Bad Santa.
The red band trailer for Bad Santa 2 is filled with the witty repartee we saw in the first one – as Billy Bob Thornton reprises the role of Willie, ex-con, general misanthrope and the worst Santa in the history of Santas.
This time, Willie and his angry little partner in crime, Marcus (Tony Cox, giving as good as he gets – again!) are planning to knock off a Christmas charity – if they don’t kill each other first.
Bad Santa 2 will be in theaters on November 23rd in an attempt to crush jolly Christmas movies with better manners. Check out the nasty trailer after the break.
Wow! I’ve just seen the trailer for Ryan Gosling’s debut as a filmmaker – he writes and directs – and it is something else entirely: eerie, otherworldly, downright strange. In a good way. Nicolas Winding Refn strange – as opposed to Uwe Boll strange.
It’s called Lost River (formerly How To Catch a Monster) and is described as a ‘dark fairy ale.’ The cast includes Christina Hendricks, Saoirse Ronan, Ian de Caestecker, Matt Smith, Eva Mendes and Ben Mendelsohn. Lost River will be in theaters and on VOD on April 10th. Check out the trailer after the jump.
