Happyish is Badish!

Episode 101

It’s impossible to review Happyish without noting that the series was created as a showcase for the late Philip Seymour Hoffman – and that he helped develop it with creator Shalom Auslander. Showtime’s Fans Can Be HAPPYish Too!

HAPPYish - Carrie Preston - Mark Schafer-Showtime

Showtime’s HAPPYish features a lead character who may not quite be happy, but is willing to settle for happy-ish.

To celebrate the series premiere of HAPPYish (Sunday, April 26th, 9:30/8:30C), Showtime is setting up life-sized snow globes in New York City and Los Angeles – where fans can find themselves engulfed in confetti like it’s their own personal parade in their own private happy-ish place.

Series guest star Carrie Preston (above, True Blood, Person of Interest) will be on hand at the New York location for photo ops and interviews.

For those who cannot be there in person, there will be a companion microsite – www.myHAPPYishPlace.com – that will allow fans to create their own photos of their happy-ish place. For more, follow the jump.

FUNNYish Trailer: HAPPYish!

Episode 101

HAPPYish was created, essentially, for the late Philip Seymour Hoffman to play the lead role – Thom Payne, whose inner turmoil is exacerbated by his new boss, a wunderkind who uses all the hip buzzwords and generally throws his life into a state of joylessness.

The series got a second life when Steve Coogan was cast as Thom and will premiere on Sunday, April 26th (9:30/8:30C). Judging from the first trailer for the show, it was a smart decision to carry on. Check it out after the jump.
