Join Ben Mckenzie (Jim Gordon), James Frain (Theo Galavan), Erin Richards (Barbara Kean), Jessica Lucas (Tabitha Galavan), Michael Chiklis along with Executive Producer John Stephens as they delve into Season 2 of “Gotham” to explore the rise of the villains. “Gotham” airs Mondays 8/7c on Fox.
Gotham (FOX, Mondays, 8/7C) continues its creative resurgence this week with the third chapter in the ongoing Rise of the Villains arc – The Last Laugh. Now darker than ever, the show really feels like it belongs in the Batman section of the DC universe.
When Gotham returns on Monday, August 23rd, Jim Gordon will come up against a new and very scary menace – The Ogre.
The Ogre – played by Milo Ventimiglia – is a serial killer who has evaded justice by targeting the loved ones of any cop who would investigate him. Now, Jim Gordon is the only cop brave/foolish enough to try to stop him.
FOX has released a trailer hat’s a combination teaser/behind-the-scenes look at Gotham’s latest monster. Check it our after the jump.
When Gotham (FOX, Mondays, 9/8C) went on its winter hiatus, things were looking grim – Alfred in hospital; the possibility of a hit put out on Bruce Wayne, Barbara seeing Jim Gordon kissing Dr. Leslie Thompkins…
Now FOX has released a teaser for the remainder of Gotham’s debut season and, no surprise, things are looking grimmer than ever. Check it out after the jump.
This week’s episode of Gotham introduces The Red Hood Gang – a kind of Robin Hood and His Merry Men of the city’s underworld. Check out the video, after the jump, as the stars of Gotham talk about the idea of the Red Hood Gang and what it means to Gotham City.
The second half of Gotham’s (FOX, Mondays, 8/7C) first season gets underway with Rogues Gallery – the first time we get to see Jim Gordon at work after his demotion. The mid-season premiere opens with Shakespeare and ends with (among other things) a chilling promise.
In tonight’s episode “Lovecraft”, we reach the winter finale and revisit what happened to Martha and Thomas Wayne when they were murdered which launched the series back in the pilot. We also learn from the official synopsis that following a misstep, Gordon is reassigned to duty at Arkham Asylum while Selina leads a friend, presumably Bruce, through Gotham on what proves to be a dangerous adventure trying to keep killer assassins at bay.
Recently we sat down with Jim Gordon himself, Ben McKenzie, to discuss Jim’s journey to hold on to what he holds dear while fighting the ever-growing dark forces that continue to plague Gotham.
Last night back in Gotham we meet the newest member of our crime fighting team, ADA Harvey Dent. He’s young, passionate about the law and hiding a secret. While he does carry around the trademark double sided coin, Harvey also seems to be hiding something. Only time will tell which side of the coin Harvey falls on.
Meanwhile, Jim is fighting to keep his only witness to the Wayne’s murder, Selina Kyle, alive. Taking her back to his apartment is short lived when he discovers his girlfriend Barbara is nowhere to be found. He realizes she wants some time and space. Jim struggles to make it without Barbara and by the end of the episode breaks down and calls, begging her to come home. The episode ends with Barbara in a lavish bed listening to his message when a very naked Detective Montoya rolls over and they kiss passionately. Uh oh Jim, I guess Montoya is an all too willing shoulder to cry on!
Recently I had the chance to chat with Erin Richards aka Barbara Kean about her role on Gotham, her relationship with Jim and her past and possible future relationship with Montoya and if the series will address their past.
FOX has ordered the final six episodes to give its new hit series Gotham a full season.
The story of Gotham between the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne and the advent of The Batman stars Ben McKenzie as rookie police detective James Gordon – possibly the last good cop in the corrupt Gotham Police Department, David Mazouz as the young Bruce Wayne and Donal Logue as Gordon’s potentially salvageable partner, Harvey Bullock.
Gotham was created by Bruno Heller. Follow the jump for more. The next new episode of Gotham airs tonight at 8/7C.
This evening’s premiere of Gotham (Fox, 8/7C) is the most anticipated series launch of the Fall 2014-15 season. It follows the rise of James Gordon through the ranks of Gotham Police department – where he’s an honest cop in a corrupt system. While the series will introduce and develop many of the best known villains of the Batman comics – and the premiere gives every sign that this will be done well – the focus will be on Gordon and his relationships with his less incorruptible partner Harvey Bullock and the lone survivor of the crime that started it all, the young Bruce Wayne.
On Friday, I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call Q&A will Ben McKenzie, who has the task of portraying rookie detective James Gordon. He was thoughtful and considered in his responses and explained why he doesn’t see Gordon as naïve in his efforts to do the right thing even amidst the growing corruption of Gotham.
