The final trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival dropped today. Check it out after the break. Arrival touches down on November 11th.
We’re back! Fresh off an early fall break, GeekScholars Movie News has returned and this week’s episode begins with a review of the films coming out of the 2016 Toronto Film Festival that look poised to make an awards season run. From there, it’s ‘Never Tell Me the Odds’ as the hosts give their probabilities on: a Mad Max Prequel, The Rundown 2 getting made, a Dune remake, and whether or not Benicio Del Toro will join The Predator.
The hosts are finally reunited on this week’s episode of GeekScholars Movie News! There’s lots to discuss including Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly starring in a comedic Sherlock Holmes movie, a Big Lebowski spin-off, a Jumanji sequel, a Clue reboot and much more! To close things out, the GeekScholars weigh in on the first preview for Arrival, an upcoming alien thriller from Denis Villenueve (Sicario, Prisoners).
Louise Banks is one of the top translators in America which doesn’t sound like the most exciting of jobs until twelve giant, egg-shaped alien craft take up positions over different parts of the globe – including one in Montana.
Now she’s drafted to help figure out who the aliens are and what they want – as pressure builds a round the world – possibly leading to war.
If you thought the tester for the trailer for Arrival was intriguing, wit ’til you get a load of this! The first official trailer – and a gallery of posters for each of the twelve UFOs – for Arrival follows the break. It opens on November 11th.
Denis Villeneuve’s follow up to Sicario is a science fiction movie about an alien first contact.
With the world on the brink of war, alien spacecraft touch down around the globe. The American team assigned to meet with them includes linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams).
The first teaser for Arrival has been released and, wouldn’t you know it, it’s a teaser for the first official trailer. As with that other high profile teaser for a trailer that dropped today, this one is also very well crafted.
Check it out after the jump. Arrival will be in theaters on November 11th. The full trailer drops on August 16th.
