Andy Samberg and The Muppets Close Down Fallon’s Late Night!

The final week of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has been set. February 3-5 will feature themed nights of The Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon: iconic musical sketches (with performers such as Bruce Springsteen, Robin Thicke and and Eddie Vedder); Fallon’s Digital Originals (such as Joking Bad, Downton Sixby and The Real Housewives of Late Night), and guest comedy pieces (such as Tom Hanks’ Slam Poetry performance about Full House, and the Lip Sync battle with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Merchant).

The final two nights of Fallon’s tenure will feature Colin Farrell, Chris Pratt and rapper 2 Chainz (performing with The roots) on the 6th, and , closing down the show, Andy Samberg and the Muppets will be Fallon’s final guests on the 7th Check out the press release, after the jump, for more details

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: What Is Wrong With You?

It’s been decades since a successful half-hour comedy mined the police procedural genre, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox, Tuesdays, 8:30/7:30C) aims to be the first hit cop comedy since Barney Miller and its premiere suggests that it just might have a chance.

Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) is the best detective in Brooklyn’s 99th precinct but he’s also the most immature cop in the known universe. When the 99 gets a by-the-book new captain – in the form of the out and proud Ray Holt (Andre Braugher) – Peralta just might have to grow up.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Comedy Is Hard! (Just Ask The Show’s Creators and Star…)

Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Tuesdays, 8:30/7:30C) is the best of the fall’s new half-hour comedies. It’s a combination procedural/workplace comedy set in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine – a precinct where the best detective is an immature prankster who behaves like the class clown in high school – and the precinct’s new captain is a by-the-book hardass who is also a mostly happily married gay man.

Series creators Mike Schur and Dan Goor and star Andy Samberg (hint: he’s not the new captain) talk about setting a comedy series in a genre that hasn’t been terribly successful since the days of Barney Miller.
