It doesn’t seem like an immediately obvious location for an organization focused on securing Royalty rights for musicians, until you realize that DC is the center of the political world and musical artists want their voices heard when it comes to issues like copyright protection, licensing fees and more.

Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m pretty upset. Just went to get my ticket for iHeartRadio’s JingleBall 2013 Concert at DC’s Verizon Center and ticket master will not let me get a single ticket. I mean really, now Single People aren’t allowed to go out and enjoy themselves? Nevermind, the fact that I was getting a ticket that cost freaking $300! What a crock of crap. So my money’s not good enough for these elitist assholes? Is this where attending concerts is heading? Bad enough they expect you to purchase tickets to shows 6 MONTHS in advance now single people need not apply? I’m so annoyed, I’m not even sure why I’m even bothering to post this announcement.
On paper the show sounds like it’ll be great or at the very least interesting. The star-studded concert, hosted by Clear Channel’s Z100, New York’s Hit Music Station, on December 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, will feature Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Fall Out Boy, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Selena Gomez, Fifth Harmony, Ariana Grande, Jason Derulo and Austin Mahone, with more still to be announced. DC’s Verizon center show is scheduled for Dec 16.
I’ll admit it, I LOVE Katy Perry – until her music quickly gets run into the ground. But the first 20 times I hear her songs, I’m into it and bopping my head like everyone else. By the hundreth time? I want shoot the radio. Yahoo has really stepped up their streaming game in the last year. On Tuesday, October 22, Yahoo Screen (http://screen.yahoo.com/music) will exclusively stream Katy Perry’s Album Release Party, celebrating her new studio album, PRISM.
