The 2014 J-POP Summit Festival will offer attendees a taste of what might await them should they sojourn to Japan. The Festival, in association with web-based Japanese cultural channel Japankuru (a coined word with the approximate meaning of ‘Come to Japan’), will provide information about Tokyo and other Japanese cities – include what to see, where to shop, where to eat, how to get there, and a wealth of other information not found in the typical guidebook. Attendees will also hear from Japankuru members about their personal experiences in Japan.

Besides Japankuru, so other notable Festival partners include: Arazou Watanabe (Japanese apparel tweaked for the modern day), CANMAKE Tokyo (makers of some of the best cosmetics in the world) and Kotobukiya (toys, figures, collectibles). In partnership with Japan’s legendary department store, Daimaru Matsuzakaya, Japankuru has produced a manga called NIJA & JANI, about a ninja named Nija who learns about OMOTENASHI (the spirit of hospitality) through and encounter with a girl traveler named Jani.
