STEVE AOKI
RELEASING DEBUT ARTIST ALBUM
‘WONDERLAND’
THIS WINTER ON ULTRA MUSIC

NEW SINGLE “EARTHQUAKEY PEOPLE”
FEATURING WEEZER’S RIVERS CUOMO TO BE RELEASED OCT 25
WITH STEVE’S OWN REMIX “THE SEQUEL” ALREADY TOP 10 ON BEATPORT

International party starter and the man behind the highly influential independent record label Dim Mak, STEVE AOKI is gearing up to release his highly anticipated debut artist album WONDERLAND this winter on leading dance label Ultra Music (with whom he has forged a worldwide deal). Leading the charge of what’s to come is “Earthquakey People.”

Known for his vast collaborations with multiple artists across various genres, AOKI has teamed up with an elite team of guest artists for WONDERLAND, including Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, Travis Barker, LMFAO, CSS and Kid Cudi. “Earthquakey People,” featuring Cuomo on vocals, is the first single from the album and is scheduled for an October 25 release featuring remixes by the likes of Andrew W.K. and Dillon Francis. A portion of the proceeds from “Earthquakey People” to be donated to Music For Relief. For more information about Music For Relief, please click on www.musicforrelief.org.

Meanwhile, STEVE’s own big room house remix of the track, entitled “Earthquakey People (The Sequel),” is already out now exclusively via Beatport where it’s already in the lauded Top 10 chart and is garnering buzz in the press:

Almost impossible to describe in words, the track is basically every Special K-fueled note of
house anyone has ever heard with Cuomo’s patented pop-punk yell chopped and screwed on
top of it. In other words, it has to be heard…”

–Chris Coplon, CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND (Online), October 11, 2011

The clubbed-out track is packed to the brim with Ibiza-ready synths and dance-party drums, as
an AutoTuned Cuomo sings ‘Don’t be afraid to dance’…”

–Josiah Hughes, EXCLAIM! (Canada), October

Steve Aoki’s sequel to ‘Earthquakey People’ packs an addictive riff that’s going to absolutely
crush it at clubs for the foreseeable future, and as Rivers Cuomo himself proclaims, ‘don’t be
afraid to dance.’”

–Bijan Hejazi, DANCING ASTRONAUT (Online), October 11, 2011

Rolling Stone caught up with AOKI in Los Angeles in September when Cuomo joined him on stage to perform “Earthquakey People” at the IDentity Festival: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/steve-aoki-recruits-will-i-am-rivers-cuomo-travis-barker-for-album-20110912.

A touring force to be reckoned with, AOKI is currently rocking crowds at some of the most recognized clubs and venues around the world, including Surrender in Las Vegas, Mansion in Miami, Avalon in Singapore as well as performances this past summer at Koko in London and Space in Ibiza. In early January 2012, AOKI will set sail on the inaugural Holy Ship! electronic music cruise where he’ll join over 20 artists aboard a massive luxury cruise liner before embarking on a massive nationwide tour alongside dubstep’s newest star, Datsik.
