Sneak Peek: See The First Three Minutes of he Grimm Fairy Tales Pilot!

Animated Pilot

A few months back, we posted a piece about a Kickstarter project by Zenescope Entertainment, seeking funding to produce a pilot for an animated series based on their comics series Grimm Fairy Tales. It might not be Veronica Mars, but Zenescope and Kickstarter did raise the funds for their pilot and have produced it.

The official press release and the first three minutes of the Grimm Fairy Tales pilot follow the jump. The pilot features by voice work by Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, Dredd), Robert Forster (Jackie Brown, Alcatraz), Laraine Newman (WALL*E, Fairly Oddparents, SNL), and Chris Hardwicke (Talking Dead, The Nerdist). It is definitely not a kiddies’ show. Just sayin’…

Zenescope Entertainment is proud to unveil the first three minutes of our Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Pilot!

The pilot was fully funded through our 2012 Kickstarter project:

We have completed the pilot for the animated series and are in the final stages of getting all of our rewards together to ship out to the backers. Overall, our fan-base and pledgers are just excited to have been a part of the process and have been extremely supportive, and patient as we get the rewards in order.

Kickstarter gave us the opportunity to ask the people if they would want our Grimm Fairy Tales animated series, and they responded yes. We didn’t have to go through the Hollywood process, and still came out with an A+ product, with a ton of talent on board. We hope more individuals with great ideas use Kickstarter as a way to make their projects a reality, but also to gauge the interest.
