It’s launch day for Netflix and Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down – the original scripted drama set in 1977, the beginning of the end for disco and the beginning of hip hop.

Yesterday, we got our hands on a clip that showcased the sisters. Today, we’ve got one featuring the brothers – and a little demonstration of breakdancing. Check it out after the break.

Last night Netflix celebrated the premiere of The Get Down with a star-studded premiere hosted in the The Bronx, New York.  The red carpet screening was held in the Lovinger Theater at Lehman College which was then followed by a Summer Block Party highlighting the music, dance, fashion and fun showcased in the series. Celebrity guests included executive producers Baz Luhrmann, and Catherine Martin, stars Shameik Moore, Justice Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jaden Smith, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown Jr., and Jimmy Smits, associate producer Grandmaster Flash, Zoe Kravitz, Debbie Harry, Rita Ora,Harvey Weinstein, DJ Kool Herc, Rahiem.
