Piz’s First Trailer: Beside Still Waters!

Beside Still Waters

No matter what he does, Chris Lowell will probably always be best remembered for playing the good-hearted Piz on the Veronica Mars TV series – and reprising the role in the Veronica Mars movie. Which would be simultaneously cool (it’s a great series and terrific movie) and a shame – his first film as a director, Beside Still Waters, won both the Jury and Audience Prizes at the 2013 Austin Film Festival.

Beside Still Waters stars Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Reid Scott (Veep), Beck Bennett (SNL), Brett Dalton (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Will Brill (Not Fade Away), Erin Darke (Kill Your Darlings), Jessy Hodges (Hindsight) and Britt Lower (Unforgettable). It opens in theaters on November 14th and premieres on VOD on November 18th. Check out the trailer after the jump.

TRIBECA FILM WILL RELEASE BESIDE STILL WATERS ON NOVEMBER 14TH THEATRICALLY AND ON NOVEMBER 18TH DIGITALLY

Synopsis:

Mourning the sudden death of his parents, Daniel invites his childhood friends up to their lake house in an attempt to relive the glory days of their youth — whether they like it or not. Things take a turn for the worse when it becomes clear that none of his friends share his nostalgia for the good old days — and his ex-girlfriend shows up with a new fiancé. But as the night progresses, secrets are confessed, romances are rekindled, and a particularly epic game of Whiskey Slaps is played.

Winner of both the Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2013 Austin Film Festival, Beside Still Waters marks Chris Lowell’s directorial debut.

Jason Potash and Paul Finkel produced through their Storyboard Entertainment banner and Lowell, Narang, and Steven Gorel also served as producers.
