Starz’ first big hit, Spartacus: Blood and Sand was unlike anything anyone had ever seen as an actually TV program before. A stroke of bad luck turned the show’s second season into a hastily put together, but very well done prequel, before tragedy required the series to recast its lead – original lead, Andy Whitfield insisted the show must go on and he even gave his successor his blessing.
So now we have the actual second season of the series – Spartacus: Vengeance [Starz, 10/9C] – ready to go and series creator/showrunner Steven S. DeKnight took time out from making the show to talk with a group of journalists/bloggers about the show.

Starz’ s biggest hit, Spartacus [Fridays, 10/9C], returns this week with a new Spartacus and a whole new setting. Following the first season revolt of the slaves of the House of Batiatus, the gladiators of Batiatus’ ludus are now out in the world, wreaking havoc.
In support of the new season, the series leads – Liam McIntyre [Spartacus], Lucy Lawless [Lucretia], Peter Mensah [Oenamaus/Doctore] and Viva Bianca [Ilithyia] spoke with a number of journalists/bloggers on a much longer than usual [90 minutes] conference call – and although he’s the new kid on the block, it is apparent from the banter that McIntyre fits right in.

Fox is presenting a special preview of the series pilot for Tim Kring’s Touch [9/8C] this evening. The series brings Kiefer Sutherland back to Fox and network primetime after a two-year absence following the series wrap of Fox’s long-lived hit, 24.
On Monday, Sutherland took a half-hour out of his busy shooting schedule to talk with a number of journalists/bloggers about the show, and why he returned to series television.

Many of Eclipse’s readers will remember Dichen Lachman for her stellar work as Sierra in Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Now Lachman is returning to television as the new boss in Boston on tonight’s episode of Syfy’s Being Human [Mondays, 9/8C].
In a conference call on Friday, Lachman talked about her character, Suren’s past with Aidan and how the two will be affected by having to work together now; how Being Human has enabled her to be in a period piece, and why she feels she’s found a special niche for her talents in genre TV and movies.

Awhile back, I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call with the stars of Syfy’s Lost Girl [10/9C] as they helped promote the show’s debut. For one reason or another, the transcript did not arrive on time to be posted for the premiere, but since the conversation went deeper than just the premiere – and because Anna Silk, Zoie Palmer and Kris Holden Ried [currently appearing in Underworld: Awakening, as it happens] were so much [positively cheeky in places], it’s only fair to share the experience with EclipseMagazine.com’s readers.
Note: There is a huge spoiler for Season Two somewhere below. Just sayin’…

In honor of the manner in which Syfy’s Being Human [Mondays, /89C] is departing from the Being Human UK map and striking of on its own, Stars Sam Huntington, Sam Witwer and Meaghan Rath took part in a conference call with a number of reporters/bloggers.
As with last season’s call, the unique chemistry the three share came through clearly – as did their somewhat off-center sense of humor. It short, everyone who took parts – at either end of the connection – had a lot of fun. Despite the ‘technical difficulties’ that caused a bit of a delay, the Q&A remains relevant because the trio didn’t just talk about second season premiere. Enjoy.

You know him best as It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rickety Cricket [and one of that show’s executive producers], but now David Hornsby is, with Philadelphia’s Rob Rosell and Scott Marder, branching out with FX’s new animated comedy series, Unsupervised [Thursdays, 10:30/9:30 C], which premieres following this week’s new episode of Archer.
Hornsby took time out from what must be a hectic schedule to speak to a group of bloggers/journalists about Unsupervised, in which he also provides the voice of Joel.
