Daddy, are you going to die someday? That’s the question “Forever” creator Matt Miller was asked by his young son one night before bed. Doing what any loving parent would do Matt tried to sooth his son’s fears by telling him no, he would never die. Realizing his mistake and wanting to build trust and understanding with his son Matt went back to amended the story letting his son know that yes, he would die one day but it wouldn’t be for a very long time. Once Matt’s wife stepped in to comfort their son from the fear of losing his dad one day, it sparked an idea in Matt of what would happen if a character wouldn’t or couldn’t die and the legend of Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd) and the story of “Forever” was born.
