Win Matthew McConaughey’s autographed Surfboard!

Win Matthew McConaughey’s autographed Surfboard!  That’s right in one of the coolest contest we’ve ever run here at EclipseMagazine.com, we’re giving away Matthew’s board.  Sweet, man.  This board is being given away because Matthew is in a new DVD/Blu-ray movie called Surfer, Dude. Hey can the casting be any better?

Synopsis

Soulful longboard surfer Steve Addington (McConaughey) returns to Malibu for the summer to find his cool hometown vibe corrupted. New sponsorship demands Addington to expand into Virtual Reality Video Games and Reality TV. Unwilling to participate in this new digital reality, he chooses to spend his summer surfing his home break. But in a twist-of-fate, the waves go flat. Out of money, his expense accounts cancelled, and betrayed by his buddies, Addington is backed into a harsh corner. Aided by his manager (Harrelson), his mentor (Glenn), his guardian angel (Nelson), and his summer lover (Alexie Gilmore), Addington has a chance of keeping his cool, but it’s not going to be easy. The dude needs a wave, and there’s never been a drought like this.

  1. My favorite Matthew McConaughy movie is Sahara. I know, not the best reviews, but really enjoyed the movie. Clive Cussler writes some great books and Matthew really played the part of Dirk.

  2. My favorite movie of his was “Two for the Money” because it was a very different performance.

  3. Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 6.1.0.) in /var/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6031 class="comment byuser comment-author-1737 even thread-even depth-1">

I have been a fan since “Dazed and Confused”. Matthew McConaughey is just too cute! I live by the beach and this would look so hot in my living room. THANKS!!!

  4. Favourite is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, mainly because he’s a lead role! Its such an easy going feel good film, and Matthew tends to excel at comedy, this movie simply lets us girls enjoy this talent as well as his more obvious ones!

  5. Matthew McConaughey has many comedic films under his belt, but his role in A Time to Kill always sticks out in my mind. Every time I watch this movie, I do not see McConaughey as an actor; I get lost in his portrayal of his character, Jake Brigance, and I start to feel like I am watching a biography of Jake Brigance, with Mr. Brigance playing himself.

  6. My favorite is accualy not a movie, but the commercial of ‘Dolce & Gabanna The One’! 🙂

Serious now, I think that “Fool’s Gold” is my favorite movie with matthew!
    It’s such a happy-chill-lady-beach-movie!

    xx

IF IT SWELLS RIDE IT !

  7. Matthew McConaughey has such a presence on screen and off it is pretty difficult to choose a favorite. He’s actually one of the few actors that can keep me interested in a movie for the entire ride. I’d have to say my top film would be How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, coming in close second is definitely Tropic Thunder, however small is part in the film was, he did an excellent job as Rick Peck (Ben Stillers character in the movie’s agent).

  8. Does naked bongo playing in Austin TX count?

Wow – reading all the comments of people’s favorite Matthew McConaughey movies really shows what a horrible movie career he has had. Foll’s Gold, are you serious? That one was so bad it was good.

Best one Matthew did was Lone Star, a good Texas murder mystery directed by John Sayles. He plays Chris Cooper’s father in flashbacks, a sherriff.

  9. Matthew McConaughey has developed proven himself in the acting world. From action movies like “Sahara” and “Reign of Fire” to comedies like “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days” and “Fool’s Gold.”
Last week, I was very amused when my girlfriend’s mom became obsessed with seeing the movie “EDTV.” Every time movies would come up, she would say how much she wanted to see it, followed by “it has Matthew McConaughey in it… and its directed by Ron Howard.” Lol. I remembered seeing commercials for it like ten years ago and thinking “probably not that great,” but I ended up watching it anyway, and, to my surprise, it was really good.
Needless to say, my point is that every movie he’s in is at least decent.

  10. I went to Hawaii this past Christmas with a strong desire to learn how to surf. I skate, snowboard, and do pretty much every extreme sport but had never tried surfing. I thought it was going to be fun but nothing too special, just cruising down through the ocean. Well, me and my family drove up to the North Shore of Oahu (in case you don’t know, its the most famous surfing location in the world) to get a quality surf lesson, and boy did we. It was four of the most enjoyable hours of my life. The bond you create with the fellow surfers and with the ocean is indescribable. To whoever reads this, if you ever get the chance to go surfing do not, I repeat, do not pass it up. You will be missing out on something incredibly special, believe me. So, maybe unlike some of the other contesters, I’m not obsessed with Matthew M; I’m just looking for a free surfboard. I will put this board to use, so hopefully the autograph is waterproof.

  11. really enjoyed the free movie passes last night for he’s just not that into you, such a cute movie! thanks!
