O’Brien And Brooks Sit Down For An Eighty-Minute Conversation In The Eighth Edition Of The Popular Web Series

In the newest installment of the web series, the iconic Mel Brooks stops by the Serious Jibber Jabber set to chat for over an hour on multiple intriguing topics ranging from the art of performing to lunch with Alfred Hitchcock. Unlike when Brooks appeared on CONAN in November 2013, JibberJabber gives O’Brien the opportunity to take the conversation beyond the time constraints of a broadcast talk show and delve into areas not usually discussed on air. This extended format allows for a one of a kind conversation that is as funny as it is revealing and touching.

"Getting the chance to speak with Mel Brooks for an hour and twenty minutes about virtually everything is most comedians’ dying request. I’m just grateful I didn’t have to go that far to get this incredible opportunity. This is the happiest I’ve ever seen myself on camera," added host Conan O’Brien.

The eighty-minute conversation allows Brooks, one of the few artists in history to ever receive the quartet of Oscar®, Emmy®, Tony® and Grammy® awards to reveal intimate stories from his time in the entertainment business. Brooks touches on the casting of his ground-breaking comedy Blazing Saddles, shares stories about The Producers, Young Frankenstein and the resonance of Spaceballs with younger generations. Brooks also reveals personal anecdotes about his relationships with Hollywood greats Sid Ceaser, Jerry Lewis, Johnny Carson and close friend Carl Reiner.

This special eighth episode of Serious Jibber Jabber with Conan O’Brien presented by Lexus premieres Monday, October 21. Other guests in the series have included Martin Short, Peter Guralnick, “The Simpsons” writers, Judd Apatow, Nate Silver, Edmund Morris and Jack White
