Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and Mark Cuban’s AXS TV announced today the premiere date for Buss’ emerging hit series WOW-WOMEN OF WRESTLING, making its network debut on Friday, January 18, 2019.

WOW Superhero events present all-female professional wrestling bouts with the theatrical flair of a blockbuster concert mixed with the hard-hitting action fans have come to expect from the popular promotion.

Songwriters Take Center Stage for NBC’s Songland!

NBC has ordered 11 episodes of music competition series Songland – focusing on finding the next great songwriter – after all, it doesn’t matter how well you sing if you don’t have great songs to sing.

The series takes an inside look at the creative process and provides one talented winner per episode the priceless opportunity to have their song recorded for a global audience by the chart-topping artists featured in their show.

Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Audrey Morrissey (The Voice) and Adam Levine (Maroon 5, The Voice) will executive produce, with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder on board as producer.

This season’s guests include Jamie Foxx (who appears in the first episode with daughter Corinne Foxx), Tyra Banks, Jason Sudeikis, Miss Piggy, Quincy Jones, Rashida Jones, Matthew McConaughey, Snoop Dogg, Andy Samberg and Weird Al Yankovic.

Carpool Karaoke: Season 2 premieres Friday, October 12th (1pm ET/10am PT).

Who Grew – By 48%!

The eleventh season premiere of Doctor Who – introducing Jodie Whittaker as the thirteenth Doctor – produced ratings 48% higher than the previous season premiere in Nielsen live/same day ratings.

Whittaker’s Doctor also produced nearly unanimous praise from critics.

Doctor Who can be found on BBC America on Sundays (8/7C).

TURNER GREENLIGHTS M.D. LIVE (WORKING TITLE) FROM LIONSGATE TELEVISION!

Turner today announced M.D. Live (working title), the first live, non-fiction series that taps into the worldwide phenomenon of medical crowdsourcing.

The two-hour weekly event set to premiere in 2019 will feature patients battling various ailments that are undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or uncured – seeking help from a panel of doctors and medical crowdsourcing.

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of the series from Lionsgate Television.

Riverdale Casts Gladys and Jellybean Jones!

Season three of Riverdale will introduce Jughead Jones’ mother, Gladys, and kid sister, Jellybean (who prefers to go by JB).

Gina Gershon (left) will recur as Gladys Jones and Trinity Likins will recur as JB.

They will debut on Riverdale during the Wednesday, December 12, 2018 (The CW, 8/7C).
