CBS Renews Entire Daytime Lineup!

CBS has announced its renewal of its entire daytime lineup: The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Let’s Make a Deal, The Price Is Right and The Talk.

The Young and the Restless was given a three-season order and The Price Is Right was renewed for two seasons.

Star Trek Discovery Launch Date Announced! Series To Run In Two Chapters!

CBS Access has announced that Star Trek: Discovery will launch on CBS on Sunday, September 24th (8:30/7:30C). Subsequent episodes will be released exclusively on CBS All Access on succeeding Sundays.

The two-hour series premiere will be available on CBS All Access immediately following its CBS screening.

The fifteen-episode first season will be divided into two chapters: the first eight episodes will run from Sunday, September 24th through Sunday, November 5th; the second chapter will begin in January, 2018.

Nominees Announced for the 2017 Television Critics Association Awards!

The nominees for the 2017 TCA (Television Critics Association) Awards have been announced and with Game of Thrones not eligible this year, some interesting things have happened in the Outstanding Achievement In Drama category – with Stranger Things and This Is Us receiving nominations (both also received nominations for Outstanding New Series).

On the comedy side, Atlanta and The Good Place also pulled off the double-double with nominations for Outstanding New Series and Outstanding Achievement In Comedy.

In terms of total noms, HBO led with an even dozen – but FX (11) and Netflix (10) kept it from being a walkover, and The Handmaid’s Tale got Hulu on the board with four.
