Safe Harbour tells the story of five Australians on a yachting holiday from Darwin to Indonesia, whose idyllic vacation takes a disastrous turn when they come across a broken-down fishing boat, full of desperate asylum seekers.

Hulu has acquiring the U.S. rights to the internationally acclaimed psychological thriller Safe Harbour. It will premiere on August 24th.

CBS All Access Makes It So! Sir Patrick Stewart Treks Once More!!

At the Star Trek Las Vegas Convention 2018, CBS All Access’ Star Trek overlord, Alex Kurtzman introduced the decision on what Trek series to make next by calling on a very special guest – Sir Patrick Stewart.

Yes, the next Trek series will be a Jean-Luc Picard series (check out the announcement video below).

No other details were announced, but Kurtzman and Sir Patrick have issued statements (also below).

FX Orders Limited Series Shogun!

FX has ordered Shogun, a 10-episode limited series period drama based on Shogun, the best-selling novel by James Clavell.

Shogun, set in feudal Japan, charts the collision of two ambitious men from different worlds and a mysterious female samurai: John Blackthorne, a risk-taking English sailor who ends up shipwrecked in Japan, a land whose unfamiliar culture will ultimately redefine him; Lord Toranaga, a shrewd, powerful daimyo, at odds with his own dangerous, political rivals; and Lady Mariko, a woman with invaluable skills but dishonorable family ties, who must prove her value and allegiance.
