Movie Review: Captive State fails to Captivate Michelle!

If anyone ever bothers to ask, my all-time favorite movie is actually the TV Mini-Series “V” for me it’s a near perfect movie. Maybe not technically and sure it’s special affects don’t hold up to today’s standards, but from a story point of view I think it’s the perfect film. It’s a film that’s about something more than just explosions it asks what you would do if fascists took over. Would you be collaborator or resistance fighter and it one line in the movie has always stuck with me – “One man’s resistance is another’s terrorist.” I hoped that Captive State would scratch that itch for me, sadly it fails on almost every level. Maybe that’s harsh.

Movie Review: Captain Marvel Great start to Phase IV, Michelle’s Review

As the former Wrestler Vader used to say, it’s time, it’s Time! It’s Captain Marvel (Brie Larson ) time! Ok, that line sounds better in my head than it does on paper, but we’ll go with it. All the obnoxious, toxic, manufactured controversy aside this movie works and works well. It’s not the greatest movie in the world, but then I think most Marvel films are way overrated, but this is a solid time at the theaters.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is Here

Being from DC, I’m really curious about Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Folks who have played the beta are raving about the game and from some of the 4K streams I saw it looks beautiful. Sadly I couldn’t play the beta because my temporary Condo has garbage internet and I can barely download a 5 gb that alone a 60gb file. But being from DC, I want to see how accurate they get some of the settings and locations, even if it is in a Post Apocalyptic world. Don’t know if I’m going to last 5 months in this place, but that’s another story. Why are most games, books and movies set in a post apocalyptic world? Why can’t we have a future of sunshine, puppies and flying cars?  Game hits the streets, March 15th, 2019. Check out the final launch trailer!

Assassin Creed’s Odyssey Comes to An Epic End in Final DLC!

I know I don’t  talk about video games nearly as much as I should on this site, but if you follow my YouTube channel you’ll see I will occasionally stream some feeble gameplay. Due to moving and other issues I haven’t given Assassin Creed Odyssey, one of the best games of 2018 the love it deserves.  Bloodline, the 3rd part of the first blade post launch story dlc is now available. Great thing about these DLC packs are they are deep, rich, long and Free.

Movie Review: Greta Is Just Ok, Michelle’s Review

Ever since Kick Ass, I’ve been a massive fan of Chloë Grace Moretz  (Frances McCullen) and you team her up with one of my favorite Directors/Writers/Actors Neil Jordan how could I not want to see the psychological “horror” film Greta? Even if the whole Single White Female drama trope isn’t really my thing. Walked in with minimal expectations other than loving the creators. It also helped that my movie choices were limited this weekend, unless I wanted to see Madea.

Movie Review: Happy Death Day 2U Michelle’s Review

Whether its Live Die and Repeat, Netflix’s new show Russian Doll or the horror film Happy Death Day. Can we please put a stop to this alarming trend of people ripping off Groundhog Day? The simple premise – what would happen if you were forced to repeat the same day over and over again is becoming tired. Or is it. Every movie and TV show that has used this gimmick has somehow managed to pull it off and the horror movie Happy Death Day was no exception so can I really be surprised there’s a sequel, Happy Death Day 2U? Is Happy Death Day a “franchise” now?
