As I was scouting through the interwebs looking for something to post on here, I came across the trailer for “The Next Three Days“. The film will star Russell Crowe as John Brennan, Elizabeth Banks as Laura, Brian Dennehy as George Brennan, Olivia Wilde as Nicole, and Liam Nesson as Damon. There isn’t much information on the film but currently the plot is this according to IMDB: “A married couple’s life is turned upside down when the wife is accused of a murder.” For me personally, it’s been three years since I’ve seen a Russell Crowe movie and that was American Gangster. This movie looks like a film worth seeing. “The Next Three Days” is directed by Paul Haggis (“In The Valley Of Elah”, “Crash”) and produced by Olivier Delbosc, Marc Missonnier, Michael Nozik, and Paul Haggis. The film will be released November 19, 2010 by Lionsgate. Check out the trailer below and feel free to give us your thoughts on the upcoming film:
To those of you that watched The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night was in for a real treat. For you Family Guy fans out there, Seth MacFarlance was a guest on The Tonight Show and he had a big announcement to make. The announcement was that he was working on a Big Band album for Universal Republic Records. Seth MacFarlane will be actually singing on the album and when Jay asked what kind of music/compositions……Seth’s response was “Swing arrangements of classic tunes. We kind of deliberately touched stuff that the Deans (Martin) and the Franks (Sinatra) and the Sammys (Davis Jr.) didn’t do yet.” Again for those that saw the show last night, Seth MacFarlane did a performance of one of his songs called “Cream In My Coffee”. I personally enjoyed the performance last night and thought it was great. For those that wish to see his performance, NBC/The Tonight Show was kind enough to post a video clip so check it out below:
There currently is no release date on the album but I will post more news about this as it becomes available.

The last time I talked about the film “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark” was on July 31st. Several days later, the first trailer for the film was released on the third of August. Since my last post, the synopsis has changed slightly….here’s a more updated version:
“Producers Guillermo del Toro (“Pan’s Labyrinth,” “The Orphanage”) and Mark Johnson (“Chronicles of Narnia”) join forces to deliver “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” a tale of hair-raising, spine-chilling horror. Sally Hurst (Bailee Madison), a lonely, withdrawn child, has just arrived in Rhode Island to live with her father Alex (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend Kim (Katie Holmes) at the 19th-century mansion they are restoring. While exploring the sprawling estate, the young girl discovers a hidden basement, undisturbed since the strange disappearance of the mansion’s builder a century ago. When Sally unwittingly lets loose a race of ancient, dark-dwelling creatures who conspire to drag her down into the mysterious house’s bottomless depths, she must convince Alex and Kim that it’s not a fantasy—before the evil lurking in the dark consumes them all.”
I’m personally looking forward to this movie but what do you guys think? Feel free to comment. Anyway, I now have the pleasure to share this trailer with all the Eclipse Magazine readers out there. I hope you enjoy:

If you’re a fan of metal/rock, you’ll want to pay attention to this post. The band Escape The Fate has been at work on their third untitled album and will be released on the Major label DGC/Interscope Records. This is a big change for Escape The Fate because their previous album was released on the label Epitaph. Their third album is scheduled for release in November but currently has no set date.
The album will be produced by Don Gilmore; he’s known for producing albums for artists such as Linkin Park and Bullet For My Valentine. In case you’re wondering how the album is going to sound, their press release stated that it will be a “twisted offspring, blending arena rock reminiscent of the 90’s with new flavor.” Bassist Max Green also had this to say in the press release “This record is the cure for the modern day music epidemic; We are wiping the slate clean and re-writing rock music as you know it.”
There ya have it metal/rock fans. That is all I currently have to report at this time. If you wish to check out their music, head over to http://www.myspace.com/escapethefate

Hello Eclipse Magazine readers! This year for Comic-Con 2010 I am A LOT more excited than last time. When I attended CC last year, I didn’t have a press pass and so I was enjoying CC by just attending panels, enjoying all the cosplay/costumes, and seeing all the surprises on the showroom floor. This’ll be my second time attending and this year is going to be whole different experience for me. For one, I get to cover events for Eclipse Magazine….how cool is that? I’ll be attending press events and reviewing a couple of games for you guys. I’m also looking forward to seeing friends I made last year and making some new ones.
