I loved Ethan Hawke in Gattaca and Philip Seymour Hoffman in The Talented Mr. Ripley…Neither of them are brand new movies but both are worthy of watching!

I’m another one who loves Philip Seymour Hoffman, and I’m trying to Netflix my way through his entire oeuvre, but I haven’t made it yet. So, I’m going to say Capote was my favorite.

I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I was good in the Talented Mr. Ripley and Capote, but he was fabulous in the movie (I forget the name) which he starred with Tom Cruise.

My pick is Marisa Tomei in the movie What Women Want with Mel Gibson. First because at that time I really liked Mel Gibson, and second because that movie always reminds me of what could’ve been… I had a close friend at that time (who I was hoping would become more than a friend) but it ended up going nowhere because the guy just didn’t have a clue! When the movie came out it made me scream and wish my friend could get powers like that, just for a little bit, so that he could get a clue! :)

I love Ethan Hawke in A Midnight Clear. It’s a great World War 2 movie that Ethan does a fantastic job in. I hope to see him in another World War 2 movie in the future.

Sidney Lumet - Dog Day Afternoon. I had a chance to see it at Mann’s Chinese Theater in LA at a retrospective in 1999 - the theater was packed. Absolutely classic! Hoping to win this one, since the last contest I came up short.
