Anybody else jazzed about the new Scooby Movie opening this weekend ? The first one was a real mixed bag, IMHO. The casting was pretty much bang-on. Shaggy and Velma especially ! The script was so-so. Didn’t completely thrill me, but didn’t leave me flat on potential sequels.

The thing that has me excited about the new movie is the premise. Of all the cartoon big-screen treatments, this one seems to have the closest ties to its roots. Seeing small screen favorites like the tar monster, the pterydactol ghost, and the one-eyed skelleton men on the big screen really has me psyched for this movie.
