Outkast singer Andre 3000 is poised to bring late rock legend Jimi Hendrix back to life on the big screen.

The “Hey Ya!” hit maker is reportedly ready to ink the deal and plans to start work on the project when he finishes filming his cameo in the “Get Shorty” sequel “Be Cool.”

The film will chart the “Purple Haze” star’s rise to fame to his drug related death at the age of 27 in 1970.
