I’m in Vegas this week to bring you news on the future of movies. CinemaCon is the time of the year where movie theater owners come together to discuss the current state of the industry and see what new technologies are coming out that will enhance the movie going experience. Everything from new projection equipment, to audio, to new concessions will be on full display. There will be seminars like “Maximizing Your Theater’s Efficiency in Today’s Digital World.”
Since movie theater owners are an important partner for Hollywood. The studios are in full “kiss up” mode. Every major studio is here hosting lavish parties, screenings and presentations of their upcoming slate of films. On hand to intro their clips will be the stars, directors and studio execs.
